HTPowerTools
HTPowerTools is a small utility for screensaver and powerplan switching.
It allows you to specify a powerplan to revert to after a period of inactivity, and a powerplan to activate when activity is detected.
It also enabled the execution of the screensaver when using the GeForce Experience overlay. As it turns out that piece of software prevents the screensaver from launching because the idle timer is perpetually reset. HTPowerTools detects activity using other means so the screensaver can be launched after a defined inactivity period.
HTPowerTools also allows you to override those settings when a specified program is running, and which running executables to kill when that program is launched. This can be useful for remote desktop / remote gaming applications such as Steam that don't register inputs when using the computer remotely.
